Getting my hair done tomorrow (finally). I'm thinking something shorter, like medium length. I'm getting tired of this long hair, its getting stuck in my armpits!! Way gross! Time to chop:

Fishtail Braid Finally Tackled!

After a ton of trial runs, I have finally perfected (well, can manage at least) the fishtail braid! This has been the hardest thing for me to do. It seems so easy too, but it was harder to master than I thought. I finally found this tutorial that helped me:

I would suggest standing in front of a mirror to do this, and have lots of patience. Keep your braid tight as you go, otherwise it will start to get sloppy. You don't need to use a clear plastic tie either, I just used a regular hair tie and then slipped it off when I was done.

So I would say, give it a go, and take your time. Try to do one after work when you aren't rushed. I tried to do one yesterday before walking around town, but I rushed it and it started to fall out. Good luck boos!!

Weekend fun: Express Blow Out Finally!!

I got a gift card to do an express blow out for Christmas, and I'm happy to say that I finally used it! (bout time!). It's amazing, thanks for asking! I love having super straight hair with no frizz!! 

It is a little heavy right now though, but that's to be expected. Also, it feels like I used wayyy too much hair spray, so that's kind of a bummer. But the results far outweigh these tiny issues.

I tried to get a good shot of the grease fest going on, but it's not really coming across in this pic. Oh well! 

Having my hair be literally maintenance free is rad, especially right now since I just had surgery. (I have gum issues, I'll explain later, maybs, it's really boring). 

Also, I hemmed that maxi skirt after having some wine, and it looks crazy. Not in a good way either, just dumb. Soooo moral of the story here: don't sew while drinking.

What I can't live without

I just got my new hair straightener in the mail and let me tell you, it's heaven. I just can't live without my hair straightener, and having a new one is the best thing ever. It's not like I would die without it, but I really don't think I would last long. So if there ever is a zombie apocalypse or whatever, and the electricity goes out, and we are living off of a generator, and everyone gets a set number of minutes to use, I would spend them all on straightening my hair. 

It might sound silly to some (most maybs?) but it's what makes me happy. And isn't there a saying that says "do what makes you happy"? I'm not sure if they were talking about flat ironing the crap outta your hair, but that's what makes me smile so I'm going with it!

My college roommates would know that if I didn't get my hair straightened or my cup of coffee in the morning, I would be a super beezy to them. Strange how they avoided me whenever this happened...

I'm one day away from my car registration deadline and I'm finally getting the good ol' Saturn smog checked. Cutting it close but that's okay. It's not like its fun to get your car smogged. I'd rather be straightening my hair, obvi.
