Strapless at SAG

Looks like strapless was the way to go, thanks to the SAG awards this past week. This has me thinking about Valentine's Day dresses. I am planning our date night this year, and I want to pick a stunner of a dress. I'm not too sure about strapless, but there are a bunch that are cute and in season now. Here's what's inspiring me:

I'll update you all with a pic of what I end up with. Anyone already have a cute outfit? I need office ideas too! Thanks :)

Tackling the adult stuff (finally!)

Tonight I finally got my finances and spending rearranged, thanks to my new second job! I have been researching a ton and have come up with a great handle on not only finances but also my lifestyle. GOOP by Gwyneth Paltrow is an amazing resource, and Coursera is perfect to continue learning after college. I suggest taking the tips from GOOP and signing up for a class if you want to enhance your daily life. Let me know what you think--also both are free to join! As for my new pledge to take better care of my skin, Birchbox has helped me find the best products. I feel like a commercial haha ok I'm done promoting--check stuff out and see what you like :)

PC: fresh face

So I've been trying to go with a more "fresh face" makeup look for work these days, but it's harder than I thought. I just have a hard time putting down the eye shadows and liquid eyeliners haha! The French ladies know how to do this "less is more" look so perfectly, I had to give it a shot. It is nice to not take 15-20 minutes each day to do makeup, instead finishing within 8ish minutes! I can always use a time saver for the morning (why am I always running late?!) Oh also I changed up my skin routine, but I'll post about that later when I remember to take a picture of my new products. Ok here's some inspiration picture!

Paris challenge and news

I thinks it's day 5 or 6, but this Paris challenge today is about the past three days. Big news kind of--my boo and I just ordered a record player! We plan on a once a week listening session where we play our favorite albums and drink nice wine. Kinda classy right? Haha we like the break from TV and hope to get a ton of use out of the player. As for Paris, I've been walking around downtown more, taking different routes while running errands. And you know what? This town is pretty cool. It's no Paris, but I think the nice weather is making me like it just a little bit. Anyway, here are some cool looking players--I'll snap a picture of the player once we get it!

Paris challenge: Day Three!

So I know it's actually day four, but since I was in a sick induced coma yesterday (and most of today) the only thing I could do was take a picture of my breakfast and go back to hacking up a lung. Anyway, I did have a lovely breakfast that didn't involve multitasking or eating while walking! The French emphasize food appreciation, and I'm going to try to do the same for breakfast everyday. Here's what I had: oatmeal with cinnamon, orange juice, and coffee. Delish, simple, and perfect!! Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Paris challenge: Days one and two

Of course I get sick on day one of my new challenge. It's ok though because now I have time to read my current inspiration for daily Paris style living--Madame Chic! It's a book from blogger Jennifer Scott and I cannot put it down, other than to blow my nose:(. I have so many ideas now for how to make subtle changes in my daily life to make it more French--I can't wait to feel better!! I would highly suggest getting this book too if you love the Paris lifestyle. Happy reading!!

Challenge accepted!! I'm living like I'm in Paris, every day.

As you may or may not know, I am obsessed with France, especially Paris (amount other things). I love every aspect of that city, and I would visit it every year if I could (someday!). But since I'm not a wealthy millionaire yet, as my maxed credit cards so kindly remind me, that dream will have to wait. In the meantime though, I am going to try to live every day like I was in Paris!

How, you might be wondering?

Through everyday habits and adventures, French style! I'll have sources from where is get my inspiration--books, films, music, blogs, etc--and share them along with my daily posts of French embodiment. My goal with this is to encourage you to live as if you were in your dream city everyday even if you also aren't a famous world traveling trillionaire yet!! Haha ok, wish me bon chance!!
